Xbox Just Added 47 Games to Cloud Streaming — and October Is Your Last Uncapped Month

Microsoft is giving Game Pass subscribers one more reason to stream in September while quietly running down the clock on unlimited cloud play. In the final wave of September updates to the “Stream Your Own Game” library, Xbox added cloud gaming support for 47 titles — meaning subscribers with a digital copy of any of them can now play on a phone, tablet, laptop, smart TV, or handheld without downloading a thing.

The headliners are some of the biggest recent Xbox releases. Control Resonant, Remedy’s sequel to the 2019 hit Control, leads the list; streaming a melee-focused action game can be latency-sensitive, but side missions and achievement cleanup are a natural fit. Fresh Game Pass arrivals Minecraft Dungeons II, Dune: Awakening, Well Dweller, and Mad King Redemption also picked up cloud support, and Marvel Rivals finally joined the Stream Your Own Game lineup after a long wait.

Not everything on the list is a blockbuster, and honestly that is where cloud gaming quietly shines. Turn-based and slower-paced titles are ideal streaming candidates, and this wave has plenty of them: the Dungeons & Dragons board-game hybrid Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked, the cozy zombie sandbox Graveyard Keeper 2, space puzzler Rivage, the Beholder: Conductor train-inspector sim, and the classic RPG Gothic II Complete Classic. Latency barely matters when your game waits for you to think.

Here is the part that changes the math: October 2026 is the last month of unlimited cloud gaming on Game Pass. Microsoft announced in early September that monthly hour caps arrive in November — 15 hours a month for Ultimate, 10 for Premium, and 5 for Essential. Extra hours will be purchasable through the Xbox Store, and Microsoft says only about 4% of subscribers stream heavily enough to hit the limits. Whether that reassures or irritates you probably depends on whether your phone is your primary console.

The timing is hard to miss: Xbox keeps expanding what you can stream right as it starts metering how much. If you have been meaning to try Control Resonant’s side content or finally dip into Dune: Awakening from the couch, the clock — for now — is still your friend. After October, it is a countdown.
