PlayStation Plus October 2026 Games: F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and EDF: World Brothers 2

October’s PlayStation Plus Monthly Games are official, and Sony is covering a lot of ground with this trio. Starting Tuesday, October 6, subscribers can claim F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, with all three staying available until Monday, November 2.

F1 25 headlines the month. The official game of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship delivers the usual mix of single-player Career and the My Team 2.0 mode, where you run your own F1 team as its owner. Online players get F1 World, including a multiplayer mode built around racing as a squad with friends against AI drivers. If you’ve been waiting to go full lights-out since the season ended, this is your cheapest ticket onto the grid.

For something completely different, Hunt: Showdown 1896 brings Crytek’s tense extraction shooter into the mix. You track down grotesque bosses in corrupted backwaters lost to history, send them to hell, claim the bounty — and then survive both twisted monsters and rival hunters on the way to extraction. You can go in solo or take up to two partners, and the game’s unforgiving loop has a way of turning cautious plans into desperate escapes. It’s a strong get for anyone who likes their shooters with actual stakes.

Rounding things out is Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, the voxel-flavored spin on the cult B-movie shooter series, available on both PS5 and PS4. Build a four-soldier squad from characters you collect, tweak their equipment, and blast giant bugs across blocky battlefields — with four-player online co-op or two-player local split-screen.

Two reminders. First, September’s lineup — Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life, and Chained Echoes — disappears on Monday, October 5, so claim them before they’re gone. Second, Sony is sweetening the month with limited-edition Spider-Man: Brand New Day avatars from October 6 plus a handful of HorrorFest in-game packs for Call of Duty: Warzone, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and Overwatch 2.
