Two decades of one of gaming’s most tangled sagas finally fit in a single purchase. Square Enix’s KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I~III] launches October 8, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, bundling the entire Dark Seeker Saga into one package.
This isn’t a streaming workaround or a re-release of a single title. The collection combines three previously separate compilations: Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III with its Re Mind expansion. Together they cover every mainline entry and side story through the saga’s third chapter — from the original Final Mix and Re:Chain of Memories to Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Birth by Sleep Final Mix, Dream Drop Distance HD, 0.2 Birth by Sleep, the 358/2 Days and Re:coded cinematics, and the chi Back Cover film.
The big news for handheld players: everything runs natively. On Switch 2, the collection replaces the older cloud-streamed versions with native builds, so there’s no internet requirement and no expiry hanging over your save file. The PC version arrives through the Microsoft Store.
Pre-orders get two sweeteners. Digital buyers on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S who order before 11:59 PM on October 7 unlock 48 hours of early access starting October 6, and each platform gets its own exclusive Keyblade: Midnight Blue on PS5, Phantom Green on Xbox, and Long Night on Switch 2. Owners of the older digital versions on Switch (cloud), PS4, or Xbox One qualify for discounted digital pricing on the new builds; save data transfers work only from Switch cloud to Switch 2.
Pricing lands at $74.99 for the full collection on the PlayStation Store, with the three parts also sold separately at $39.99 each — the cheaper route if you only need Kingdom Hearts III and Re Mind. Physical editions are confirmed for PS5 and Switch 2 in at least some regions; Xbox buyers are digital-only.
The timing could hardly be busier. October 8 puts the collection in the middle of one of gaming’s biggest months, with Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival landing the same day and Gears of War: E-Day earlier in the week. Whether you’re catching up before the long-awaited fourth chapter or replaying Sora’s whole journey, the complete saga is finally one click away.
